It was on October 17th when I received that very great news. Just when the producer started to say the words, my heart was already racing with joy. Because I knew it! 😊
I couldn’t hide my excitement, “Oh my, give me just a second to rejoice!” We made it!
So that’s it, we were requested to come to Toronto on November-December for the show. 😊
Did you ever wish you can make a fancy dinner just like the menu of a glamorous restaurant? Or prepare a fancy meal just like the one you just watched on TV or have seen on social media? But you are not a gifted cook or a chef. You are just a normal person who wants to add a little bit of spice on basic cooking.
If you have the skills to significantly change the world in a positive way, why keep it?
If you can write, draw, paint , and touch the soul with art, why not share it?
Sometimes, working where your passion lies, is more satisfying than working for money alone.
Family Feud is not just about winning the 10,000$ pot. It is more about playing alongside with your family, challenging yourself and most importantly, having fun. We were just so fortunate and grateful to have experienced this. God is truly great!
Being an actual teacher for the first time, I find it hard to catch up and manage my time, making lesson plan, preparing quizzes and checking them. I admired those teachers coming to the school, just being “cool”. I am literally bringing work at home. And it’s totally “uncool.”
Who remembers those moments of adolescence when your skin starts to breakout? People start noticing your pimples instead of your beautiful face. It was like a tiny dot on a clean paper. Your hair, complexion, eyes, nose and lips don’t matter anymore because the pimples become the CENTER of ATTRACTION already.
I was so emotional. Anxiety, fears, grief, were all over me. Losing a dog is like losing a loved one. Much more intense than what you might think. My husband calmed me and said, “We will be reporting this to the police. We will find him!” I felt hopeless at that time. I couldn’t believe that was happening for real. Shake was all over my thoughts, and all my worries and fears tend to swallow me alive! I don’t know if it’s the pull of the moon that’s driving me nuts, but whatever it is, losing shake made me wanna lose my sanity for a while.
How many of us grew up in the province where there is no shower and there is no flush in the toilet ? How many have parents, grandparents or great grandparents whose water source is the POSO ( a dug-out )? Those were the days when people have to store water in a reservoir like pail and store it in the washroom, bathroom or toilet. Those were the days when there was no tissue or wipes. Those were the years when a TABO was more of a necessity rather than an option.
Laser eye surgery for visual correction of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism can either be LASIK or PRK (photorefractive keratectomy). The procedure will depend on the condition and health of your eyes, corneal thickness and a few other factors. I believe there are laser eye surgery clinics who do free eye assessment to check and recommend the best procedure for your eyes. So, I suggest you check them out if you are interested.

Language should never be a barrier in any relationship. Love involves a whole lot of patience and understanding. Different country has ITS own language game. English language is too broad to fully comprehend. People from different countries sometimes have different meaning and uses on certain English words. Here are some examples of how I use my Filipino English versus how my husband use it in his Canadian Language.
As a newcomer with little amount of money from back home, we found it hard or even impossible to buy a house in a very short year. But please don’t get discourage. Sometimes it’s not how much we earn but how much we manage and spend our money that counts. Considering your first job that allows you to earn only the minimum wage or up to 14$, there are still ways to achieve your goal only if you are determined . As they say , if there’s a will, then there’s a way.
The ratio could be 1 in every 1,000 but that 1 could be anyone. Or it could be you. Are you going to risk your precious life just because the probability is low? Don't assume just because we dont have expensive things, there is nothing much to lose. The most valuable investment inside our home is our well being, our life, our family.
No one will ever know when an emergency will occur. Life is unpredictable and full of surprises. Bringing loved ones in Canada requires great responsibility. Imagine taking them out of their comfort zone and moving them into a different environment with the coldest weather ,eating more processed food , and changing their routine activities.
A lot of people was asking how my husband and I met? He is tall, good looking , intelligent, athletic and affectionate. I never kept it as a secret, but at the same time I wasn’t vocal about how we first met. People thought I met him in school. I was studying a continuing education in quality management in the same school in Winnipeg where he was taking Geodetics Engineering. But honestly , it wasn’t at school where we first met. I was a fresh immigrant, jobless and loveless. Out of boredom, I joined an online dating site. I posted one of my best picture and added some description 😊
TO UNDERSTAND THE HAPPINESS AND EXCITEMENT THEY BRING TO PEOPLE.
Shake gave me one reason to be excited going home , as I know he is also excited when he sees me home. My husband usually works late. Now someone is always waiting for me. He was always active, happy and with lots of energy. I sometimes wish I was like him every moment.
